Businesses from every industry are quickly engaged on a battleground where legacy business models are bound to fail or stay behind and digital transformation brings an incredible potential for growth and profitability. Technology, without a doubt, plays a critical role in enabling such change, but technology alone does not guarantee transformation. This journey must embody our vision for the future of our organizations and the core values ingrained in our leadership and talent. I do not agree with the term revolution in this article. I see rather an evolution and a need to transform its business while keeping its base. A revolution would mean a complete change. A nice read though!

A mindset shift is required from a CIO in a digital society. There are multiple changes that the leadership must adapt to, and evolve with to meet the business demands. The role of the CIO is even more integral as enterprises shift from tackling digital transformation projects to living in a fully digital society. At times, CEO embark on such journeys with little to no regard for the impact of digital. On IntelligentCIO.com:
https://www.intelligentcio.com/eu/2020/03/06/why-a-consultative-approach-is-the-key-to-digital-transformation/

As consumers expect more from technology in the digital age, business leaders have no choice but to meet the growing demands of both their consumers and their employees.
